All disinfectants inactivate or destroy microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses or fungi using one or multiple modes of antimicrobial action. What differs from product-to-product is largely the method by which this microbial destruction occurs. If a disinfectant contains only one active ingredient that works by only one method of destruction, it may not be as effective on multiple common microorganisms as a product containing multiple active ingredients. tb Minuteman NEX GEN has four active ingredients combined in a balanced concentration to exert optimal antimicrobial activity. This formulation is designed to inactivate a broad spectrum of microorganisms by multiple modes of action, within efficient contact times. This ensures excellent disinfection results and peace of mind.

In addition to standard testing, tb Minuteman NEX GEN efficacy has been proven against the difficult to kill genus of microorganism known as Mycobacterium. This testing gives tb Minuteman NEX GEN its mycobactericidal (or tuberculocidal) claim. A mycobactericidal claim is very important to look for when choosing a broad spectrum disinfectant. Due to their unique cellular structure, Mycobacteria are very resilient. They are among the most difficult types of microorganisms to kill and thus are the benchmark test organisms used by the CDC to meet and exceed the requirements of an intermediate level disinfectant.
